  • Kitchen Volunteers

    Required Background: Level II background screening required. 

    Schedule: Flexible between the hours of 6a-6p Monday to Saturday. Schedule to be determined by Director of Facilities and volunteer(s). Minimum of 6-month commitment required.

    Role Description: The Kitchen volunteer will assist the kitchen staff with serving meals and general kitchen clean up.

  • Clothing Room Organizer

    Background: Level II background screening required. 

    Schedule:  Flexible between the hours of 8a-4p, Monday through Saturday. Schedule to be determined by Director of Facilities and volunteer(s). Minimum of 3-month commitment required

    Role Description: Sort and organize clothing donations into sizes and type of clothing, placing clothing in storage area and restocking the clothing room. The ideal candidate would have a good eye for items young adults of today would want to wear.  


  • Youth Engagement

    Background: Level II background screening required. 

    Schedule: 8am-10am and 4pm-6pm (Sunday -Saturday) Shifts can be worked out with the coordinator/manager and volunteer. Minimum of 6-month commitment required.

    Role Description: Youth engagement volunteers will perform a variety of tasks depending on the shift. This will include assisting with morning reminders and securing residential floors, answering external and internal calls, addressing each callers’ immediate needs, filing, making copies, and greeting and engaging all youth with absolute respect and unconditional love while promoting a clean, safe and healthy environment for everyone.

  • Administrative Support

    Background: Level II background screening required. 

    Schedule: Flexible between the hours of  9a - 5p Monday to Friday. Schedule to be determined by the Department Director and volunteer(s). Minimum 3 month commitment

    Role Description: Volunteers are needed for ongoing department operations assistance to help ensure that our staff training department runs smoothly and efficiently. Duties can include: filing and organizing documents, inputting training hours in the database, creating training certificates, assisting with the Holiday Gift Drive including communication with donors, sorting Christmas presents, and gift pick-ups

  • Life Skills Monitor

    Background: Level II background screening required.  

    Schedule: Flexible between the hours of 9a-3p three to four days a week. Schedule to be determined by Life Skills Supervisor and volunteer(s). Minimum of 6-month commitment required.

    Role Description: This unique role affords the opportunity to monitor and interact with CHF’s residential youth, ages 18-22, engaged in learning independent living skills and recreational activities including. Youth will need assistance with accessing activity materials from the onsite Life Skills closet as well as engaging in activities alongside the youth while ensuring their behavior and interactions are appropriate and constructive. We also need assistance with maintaining a clean environment in the activities area.


  • General Maintenance

    Background Required: Level II background screening required. Minimum 3-month commitment required

    Schedule: Flexible between the hours of 7a – 4p Monday to Saturday and 7a-3p Sunday.  Schedule to be determined by Director of Facilities and volunteer(s).

    Role Description: Volunteers are needed to assist current maintenance staff with small general maintenance projects. Experience in general maintenance and repairs is preferred.

Please complete the following questionnaire and we will be in contact with you regarding this position. An interview will be conducted and for some positions, a Level II background screening will be conducted. We strive to find the best candidates for these roles to ensure successful youth mentorship and outcomes.
