Reneé Trincanello
Chief Executive Offier
Reneé Trincanello is a transformational, servant leader of one of the largest non-profits serving youth experiencing homelessness in the state of Florida. She has been in the Human Services field since 1999 and has decades of experience in the industry. Renee' has served in a variety of direct-care and executive roles at Covenant House Florida.
In 2019, Reneé became chief executive officer for two Covenant House Florida locations, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. Both locations provide youth access to vital resources such as housing and food assistance, medical and mental health services, educational support, and career guidance using trauma-informed best practices.
Reneé is passionate about raising awareness of issues impacting youth experiencing homelessness and has focused her career on building innovative, robust programs which support the youth on their pathway to independence. As an advocate for underserved and under-resourced persons, she is deeply committed to partnering with those who share the commitment to end youth homelessness.
Reneé obtained her bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Central Florida, a master's degree in social work from Barry University, and is a licensed clinician.
David Weaver, CPA
Chief Financial and Operations Officer
Mr. Weaver is the co-founder and former President and CFO of Edge Grant Billing Systems Inc., a fintech startup revolutionizing government grant billing with fully automated, cloud-based solutions. With over 25 years of experience in finance, strategic leadership, and technology development, he is passionate about digital transformation and solving financial challenges for non-profit organizations. As CFO of Covenant House California, he helped the organization double the annual budget, expand its footprint, and enhance its capacity to manage government grants. He is excited about the opportunity to contribute to the Covenant House mission once again. He also served as CFO of Wedbush Securities, where his cost-saving initiatives and system improvements significantly boosted profitability. Earlier, at Credit Agricole Securities, Mr. Weaver led major projects that increased processing capacity and significant new revenues. Licensed as a CPA, he holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Peter’s University and has held NASD Series 7, 27, and 63 licenses.
Betsy Syprien
Chief Program Officer (Fort Lauderdale)
Betsy has been with Covenant House Florida since 2003. She has over 14 years of experience working in the Human Services field. Betsy oversees the Rights of Passage Apartment Living Program (ROPAL), Health Services, Parenting Education Services, Life Skills programming, and Education program.
Kadi Tarlecky
Chief Development Officer
Kadi Tarlecky brings over three decades of invaluable experience to her role as Chief Development Officer at Covenant House Florida. With a relentless dedication to empowering nonprofit organizations, Kadi is committed to equipping them with the resources necessary to realize their missions to the fullest extent, thereby catalyzing profound positive change within the community.
Having served as an Executive Director for over ten years, Kadi possesses a comprehensive understanding of nonprofit operations, augmented by her transition to Development to amplify mission-driven initiatives through strategic fundraising efforts. Her track record speaks volumes, with millions of dollars secured from private donors, foundations, grants, and successful special events, underscoring her adeptness in mobilizing community support.
Kadi's impact extends beyond fundraising, as evidenced by her leadership in spearheading capital campaigns across various South Florida communities. Despite her diverse geographical background, since 2016 she proudly calls South Florida home. A graduate of Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, Kadi is not only a seasoned professional but also a devoted mother of two. She enjoys travel and visiting the beach.
Amalia Herman
Director of Human Resources
Amalia Herman joined Covenant House Florida in August 2022 to serve as the Director of Human Resources. Amalia has over 15 years of experience in Human Resources Management. Amalia is very active in her local Human Resources Association and earned her SPHR in 2014. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University.
Caren Olson
Director of Program Services
Orlando Resource Center
Caren Olson has been with Covenant House Florida since 2019. She started her career teaching math, social studies, and science. She left the field of education in 2009 to go into social services. Caren has worked to serve Transitional Aged Youth for most of her career and has a passion for helping young people reach their full potential and showing them that they can dream beyond what they know. Caren loves animals and riding horses, and is a big musical theater fan.
